Another Successful Fund Raising BBQ

On October 6th we had another successful fund raising BBQ at Wilsons Home Timber & Hardware (a proud sponsor of Apple 98.5fm). We, like all community radio and TV stations in Australia, rely on money from sponsorship, membership fees, grants and donations to keep us on the air. Fund raising BBQs are another way for us to make ends meet, and it’s also a great way for announcers to get together.

We broadcast live from Home Hardware. Tonia from the Your Community Show was behind the panel for most of the day, but some of the students for our Youth Training Class also steered the ship for a while.
